It is designed with advanced flow cytometry technology using polystyrene or magnetic beads as solid phase and 96 well plate for assay development. The beads dyed with mixed fluorescents can be clarified into 100 different regions which constitute the base for multiplex assays. From one single sample, the dual reading lasers in Bio-Plex Suspension Array System scan the beads and measure up to 100 multiple analytes simultaneously. Beads carrying different analytes are clarified into corresponding regions and report the quantity of analyte simultaneously. As a major multiplex assay supplier, Bio-Rad provides entire system (instrument and software), services and 182 assays for varied biomarkers (See table below).
