Prof. dr. HÖLSÄ, Jorma Pertti Kalervo (1952) works at Department of Chemistry in University of Turku,, Finland. His research activity covers Chemistry, Physics and Materials Science of Rare Earths, Thermal behavior of Materials, Luminescence and Absorption Spectroscopy of Rare Earth Compounds, Inelastic Neutron Scattering Spectroscopy of Rare Earth Compounds, Simulation of the Energy Level Schemes of Rare Earth Compounds, Simulation of the Magnetic Properties of Rare Earth Compounds, X-ray and Neutron Powder Diffraction of Solid State Compounds, Structure Solution from Powder Diffraction Data, Synchrotron Radiation Spectroscopies (XANES, EXAFS, VUV) in Materials Science, Defects in Solid State: Persistent Luminescence and Thermo luminescence, Preparation and Characterization of Nanocrystalline Materials, Up-conversion Luminescence of Nanocrystalline Materials and Minerals’ Luminescence.

Prof. HÖLSÄ is member to several professional (Chemistry and Materials Science) societies.
     The most important one is the membership (invited) to International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD).
